The Year of Productivity

Posted by 14hourlunchbreak - March 13th, 2011

I started a lot of cool games last year that still aren't done as we speak. Like a lot of authors here, I have a tendency to start something and never finish it. A ton of cool people put their time and effort into these games, so I'm planning on finishing the shit I started. I literally have a Flash folder with over 300 flash files. Not all of these are super cool games that I never finished, but a handful of them are, and I intend to get those wrapped up sooner or later.

All that aside, lets talk about the NES. My cool hipster friend ShearArtAttack and I have been working on a game for a few months now. Without giving too much away, it's a simple little platformer puzzel game with a heart of gold and an NES feel to it. We intended to finish it in one 24 hour period, but that didn't work out. At the end of the 24 hours we had a solid 5 or 6 levels done, but we decided it would be cool as a full fledged game.

Anyway, for no particular reason we made a real cartridge for it.

Football is serious business.

I hope I can play as Bo Jackson

He runs like a man-god.

let's see...i still have my Sega genesis, Atari jaguar, playstation 1, old pilot fighter joystick, and the very first earthworm jim.

so pretty much had a nice console life up until i got hooked on computers for life.

god i miss the 90's 80's 70's games.

Damn these new fangled contraptions.

Is anyone else even a little reminded of Time Fcuk when they see the art on that cartridge?

sssshhhhh, nobodies supposed to know :(

haha that's a cool cartridge! Hope to see the game soon man!

thanks! :D

It's just paper on that cartridge I assume.

Still pretty cool.

Paper, tape, and glue. Thanks!

That cartridge is perfect idea !

thank !

i seriously thought you had made an actual NES game when i saw that picture of the cartridge. but then i was like theres no way that couldve happened. it still looks legit though.

yeah I wish it was a real nes game.

Flash art and hand art. I could you a run for your money when it comes to using your hands to make art.

uh oh.

will you finish the club game?
